Set in Dior's signature mirror box in the middle of Musee Rodin in Paris, the show venue was wrapped in intricate silk tapestry by French artist Eva Jospin on the inside, a hint for the audiences at the collection to be shown. Brand ambassador Jennifer Lawrence sat front row, no doubt contemplating which look to wear to her next red carpet event. Fellow global brand ambassador Jisoo of Blackpink would certainly join her had it not been for these unusual times.

Creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri had wanted this collection to be a statement about being more present, using tactile materials like tweed and feathers to evoke the sense of touch. Textile artist and curator Clare Hunter's book Threads of Life was a huge source of inspiration as it highlighted the importance of weaving techniques and embroidery as means of sharing memories and care which Grazia Chiuri holds dear.

In her signature style, Grazia Chiuri casualised couture, starting off with many tweed riding suits that could have sat in her ready-to-wear collections, but the lineup eventually gave way to her now-familiar ethereal goddess gowns that surely will top every beach bride's list, complete with a dreamy palette and flowing trains.
