Do we stop time, do we stop traffic, or do we stop stopping? Regardless, the Corum Big Bubble Stop delivers a striking message.

Eight months after Corum issued a challenge to lovers of the brand to ‘Customize Your Bubble,’ the watchmaker is releasing Big Bubble Stop, an answer to said challenge.

Suggested by Jérôme Barbier, the 88-piece limited edition watch is striking with its message, even if it is somewhat vague – do we stop time, do we stop traffic, or do we stop stopping? The real answer may lie on the wrist of the beholder.

Under its famous sapphire dome, the watch’s dial is made from the same reflective material as Swiss traffic signs, giving it a serious sense of conviction. The Big Bubble Stop is available in three titanium case editions – 42mm, 47mm and 52mm.

Also coming out from under the domes is the Bubble 47 Flying Tourbillon. Unlike the worded warning of the previous timepiece, this watch opts for a more ominous visual representation with a skull on its dial, and a tourbillon within its jaw.

Despite its darker tone, the Bubble 47 Flying Tourbillon is still a gorgeous piece to look at, with its rose gold case, and hypnotizing tourbillon.

While we’re stopping for this piece, we’re also keeping our eyes open for the Corum x Steve Aoki collaboration watch.
