Damien Hirst designs limited edition Mickey T-shirt for Marc Jacobs

Marc Jacobs International brings joy to the holiday season with a limited edition Mickey Mouse T-shirt designed by Damien Hirst, in support of the Kids Company.

Other Criteria and Marc Jacobs International have launched a series of limited edition T-shirt, produced in collaboration between Marc Jacobs and artist Damien Hirst to support the Kids Company.

Using his characteristic spots to interpret one of Disney’s most loved character, Damien Hirst designed an abstract print of Mickey Mouse, which is printed on two different coloured T-shirts – black and white.

Damien Hirst says, "Mickey Mouse represents happiness and the joy of being a kid. I have reduced his shape down to the basic elements of a few simple spots and I hope people love it, because it is still instantly recognizable - Mickey is such a universal and powerful icon."

This collaboration between Marc Jacobs International and Damien Hirst is created to support the Kids Company, a UK charity that Hirst has long supported. All proceeds from the sales of the T-shirts will be donated to this London-based organisation to provide various support to vulnerable inner-city children and young people.

The limited edition T-shirt is now available for both adults and children, retailing for $98(RM300) and $58(RM180) respectively. There are only 2,500 units available in both black and white colours.
