Dior shone as the guest of honour in the official line-up of Shanghai Fashion Week on Monday

For avid fans of Dior, the Long Museum West Bund in Shanghai may ring a bell. The location of the Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams exhibition in 2020 was transformed into a disco dream for the unveiling of the French luxury brand's pre-fall 2021 collection by creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri

A celebration of the most carefree era of our time, the pre-fall show debuted 75 stunning looks against pulsing pop music by Giorgio Moroder on a catwalk illuminated by disco balls and blinding lights—with  surprise performances by Hong Kong pop star Joey Yung and Chinese rock band, Black Panther.

From the return of the French beret to the bright hues of red and yellow, we break down the captivating trends from the glittering show.

The global pandemic has given the fashion world the green light for their Best Hits World Tour. And naturally, sequins are one of the biggest stars, featured in collections by the biggest fashion houses, including Versace, Chanel and now, Dior.

Paired with a full pleated skirt or adorning catsuits, crop tops and minidresses, Dior puts its own spin on the trend that is looking like it's here to stay.
