The hot off the press Urban Decay Naked Heat feels like unopened box of chocolates in my hands, wrapped in a delicious packaging that truly enhances the appeal of the new Naked.

It slides open like a match box and there in all its glory, the makeup palette is absolute luxe at first sight. The lashes of lines on the case is meant to conjure up a vision of “looking through vertical blinds into a hot, steamy sunset” and it’s simply glorious.

The palette craddles 12 amazing shades of sexiness, with generous doses of Beyoncé mixed with Jennifer Lopez. The heat is intense on this one, aptly portrayed by the burnt matches graphic on the box.

The warm shades are all-new, sultry to the max and attention-drawing. If you thought the previous Naked palettes were the bee’s knees, wait till you start having fun with every single colour of Naked Heat.

The eyeshadows are velvety-smooth to the touch and glides on nicely. From soft highlights to matte transitions and gleaming metallics, the possibilities for sexy eye makeup are endless.

 I’m completely obsessed with the rich, metallic shades in this palette. Ember just blew me away with its deep metallic copper-burgundy shade that’s perfect for a date night that screams just take me (to your) home already, or if you’re painting the town red with your squad.

Scorched sizzles with metallic deep red with gold micro and Dirty Talk teases with a metallic burnt red patina. Highly pigmented and no signs of crease after hours of wear, you can skip the primer given the palette’s remarkable staying power.

The different shades of Naked Heat is created to suit every skin colour and will take you from the daytime radiant bronzed look to nighttime smoky eyes like a pro.

The palette case comes with a double-sided brush (blending brush and detailed crease brush) and long mirror.

UD junkies will be thrilled to know that 2 new 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil colours and 3 new shades of Vice lipsticks were also created to complement the new Naked. Otherwise, it’s a makeup bag staple that works effortlessly with everything else.
