Ella Emhoff, the stepdaughter of Vice President Kamala Harris, made her official runway debut at New York Fashion Week after wowing with her stylish appearance at President Joe Biden’s inauguration last month

Ella Emhoff has made her fashion world debut on the runway at New York Fashion Week. The stepdaughter of Vice President Kamala Harris gained immediate international attention and fame for her viral Miu Miu coat-wearing appearance at the inauguration of President Joe Biden, who also signed with IMG Models—the agency that represents the likes of Gigi and Bella Hadid, Karlie Kloss—shortly after the ceremony last month.

For Emhoff’s catwalk for American label Proenza Schouler’s Fall-Winter 2021 womenswear collection, it was presented digitally due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. She was seen wearing different fashion looks with her signature wire-framed glasses at the makeshift runway at New York’s Parrish Art Museum, including a fuzzy-collared coat and a bold power suit.

It was a big week for Emhoff, as her new collection—a five-piece knit set that newly launched yesterday on shopping platform Mall—was sold out within the first three hours. What’s more, she has been revealed as the cover face of the new issue of Berlin-based fashion and art title Dust, who further cemented her status as a style icon. We can't wait to see what she has in store for fashion lovers around the world this year.
