Estée Lauder Special: A magical alchemy of dance, flowers, beauty and memories with Shirena Hamzah
Born and raised in a home where art and flowers thrive, Shirena Hamzah developed an affinity for beautiful things early on. And from a little girl to a beautiful mother of three, Shirena has dedicated her life to dance.
“I am the principal of Dancesteps Studio but first I’m mother to three gorgeous children – Tengku Alora (8 years old), Tengku Ayden (5) and Tengku Alandara (1). I am a full time mum and I also teach dancing; I live to a tight schedule and therefore, it’s important for me to stop and smell the roses,” she says when met at her dance studio in Mont Kiara.
Shirena’s love for flowers is well-known among her near and dear. “Growing up, I remember mum’s beautiful orchid stand outside our house and when I moved to Hawaii to further my studies, I learned about flowers in relation to nature and culture.”
And when she returned and moved into her own place, she made sure she was always surrounded by them. “I love brown roses because they have a very antique feel to them. And when displayed in any arrangement, there’s a lot of body in it and roses always smell wonderful. "
Just like Estée Lauder’s latest Re-Nutriv Ultimate Lift Regenerating Youth collection, that’s infused with an innnovation like no other, Floralixir Dew. The cream is light, says Shirena, and it smells like a perfume. “Coming from someone who doesn’t use creams often, it sure has made me want to be a bit more religious to put on those cream because in a short time, I can see the skin is smoother.”
Floralixir Dew is a potent force that pack a punch (and purpose) to reawaken skin’s innate powers of visible regeneration and youthful renewal. Its key ingredients are two precious flowers from Brazil and the Himalayas that thrive in extreme conditions.
The range is truly reflective of Madam Estée Lauder’s quest for excellence and love for flowers. And it resonates with Shirena’s values of love, passion, discipline and perseverance.
