Tiffany & Co's chief artistic officer Reed Krakoff melds form with function while designing the Extraordinary Tiffany collection
Tiffany & Co is known to be an authority in diamonds, regularly releasing scintillating and sparkling creations to capture the hearts of men and women the world over. But each year, it also pushes its artistic ability to debut a high jewellery collection, where brilliant design, magnificent gemstones and superlative workmanship take centre stage. This year is no exception. Meticulously handcrafted by its artisans, Extraordinary Tiffany includes designs by its chief artistic officer Reed Krakoff as well as a small selection of French designer Jean Schlumberger’s fantastical vintage creations for the brand.

Emerald City
Never mind that the necklace is studded with mixed-cut diamonds, the emerald-cut blue tourmaline of some 32 carats, which is suspended from the bejewelled chain, is a clear winner. It's not easy these days to source for tourmalines of such clarity and quality.
Also from the same collection is another similarly impressive creation (pictured above), which boasts slightly more diamonds and has a brilliant emerald-cut non-enhanced emerald that measures some 10 carats.
