Christopher Bailey and his models at the Burberry Prorsum Fall 2015 show

Using classic English materials like Dunham quilts and English lace, Burberry has created a heirloom-worthy collection for the new generation fashionistas.

Moving on from the birds and the bees in spring, the house of Burberry created yet another colourful collection for its coming Burberry Prorsum Fall 2015 collection.

One that revolved around a collection of heirloom pieces that could transcend time and be passed on to your future generation.

Titled "Patchwork, Pattern & Prints", the collection took a crafty approach in fashion, featuring Dunham quilts, English lace and English fringed suede. Using classically English materials and techniques, the collection became a wonderful world of texture, print and colours that brought a tinge of dreamy nostalgia to the audience at Kensington Gardens.

While we are all too familiar with the structured Burberry silhouette, this collection saw a more relaxed take with ponchos, capes, and short A-line dresses on the runway (see highlights video below).

Trench coats and tailored and fitted outerwear were teamed with bold multi-colored patchwork boots or fringed heels to create movement and flare.

Paisley and floral bohemian prints, patchwork prints, animal and camouflage-printed lace were paired with the traditional Burberry checks to create an optical illusion of prints that were bright and vibrant, making a sharp contrast to the conventional autumn and winterwear.

As a pioneer in digital marketing, the UK fashion house also teamed up with Twitter to let its loyal fans take shots of the runway and be posted live via #Tweetcam.

This new strategy allowed much interaction for those who did not make the show and gave its international audience the best vantage point for the extravagant runway.

By tweeting the hashtag to the @Burberry account, it triggered a camera to take a photograph and each picture was then personalised with the user's Twitter handle and tweeted back to them.

Over in Japan, Burberry also partnered with Line , a global messaging platform, to provide live access to the show for its Japanese users.
