Limited to only 200 pieces, the Big Bang Meca-10 Magic Gold combines the best of mechanics and Hublot’s own brand of innovation.

The new Big Bang Meca-10 sees the Hublot manufacture calibre, HUB1201, mechanism housed in a case made from Magic Gold, the first scratch-resistant gold and the hardest variety in the world, developed and patented by Hublot with EPLF (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne) five years ago.

Revealing its entire original interlocking power reserve on the dial-side, the watch is a display of Hublot’s high quality watchmaking, techniques, innovation and aesthetics.

The open-dial of the Meca-10 is complete with gears, plates and wheels creating a visual treat for all those who spent hours designing and building with Meccano during their childhood. Consisting of 223 parts, the watch is fitted with two barrels operating in parallel and a rack-driven 10-day power reserve indication system that takes conventional watch design and architecture to unprecedented levels.

The world-class technology is encapsulated in a case made from Magic Gold that fuses gold with an alloy of ceramics, making it the only scratch proof 18 carat gold in the world. Technically, only a diamond can mark it!

With a black structured, lined rubber strap, it is no wonder that the Big Bang Meca-10 got awarded with the ‘Best of the Best 2017’ title for product design at the Red Dot Award, Germany.
