It is a prized collector’s items for fans, offering a unique exploration of the house’s archives while paying homage to all that Mr Lagerfeld has contributed.

This year marks 50 years of Karl Lagerfeld serving as the head designer and creative director at Italian fashion house Fendi, the longest relationship any designer has seen with a single fashion house in history.

To honour that milestone, Fendi has announced a new exclusive anniversary book simply titled ‘Fendi by Karl Lagerfeld’ which contents will tell the story of the brand’s heritage, creativity and modernity, exclusively furnished with materials specially created by Lagerfeld such as never-before-seen sketches and interview.

It is a prized collector’s items for fans of the brand as well as the designer, offering a unique exploration of the house’s archives while at the same time, paying homage to all that Lagerfeld has done and contributed over the years.

Upping the collectability of it even more, it comes in a wooden treasure box of sorts, housing the book, a scrapbook portfolio of about 200 sketches penned by Lagerfeld himself, a poster consisting of up to 50,000 miniature images of his sketches, a DVD with footages of Lagerfeld reminiscing of his time at Fendi as well as various illustrated booklets of rare behind-the-scenes interviews and transcriptions.

The book is expected to be available at all Fendi boutiques and upscale booksellers worldwide in July and will retail at $110 (around RM396).
