Elégance, glamour and couture

For the first collection presented under the "Viktor&Rolf Mariage" label, the fashion house called on the services of Justin Alexander, a major bridal wear specialist. The pieces on show focused on three themes: unexpected elegance, conceptual glamour and provocative couture.

Future brides will appreciate the creative diversity of this first fully-fledged bridal line, which combines modernity, glamour and romanticism. It features ultra-short dresses with Peter Pan collars, column dresses, extra-voluminous dresses, and structured jumpsuits: all of which are enhanced by such Viktor&Rolf signatures as asymmetric hemlines, iconic bows, volumes and graphic lines.

With regard to fabric, the fashion house went to town with satin, silk taffeta, tulle, and crêpe. Other details that also set the tone for the collection included flounces, outsize flowers, and daring embroidery.

Elie Saab also has a new bridal line.
