Swiss watchmaker Girard-Perregaux is expanding its "Cat's Eye" collection of women's wristwatches with a new model, featuring an aventurine dial, diamonds, rose gold and a "day & night" feature. This poetic timepiece matches skilled watchmaking expertise with creativity.

Simply called the "Cat's Eye Aventurine," this women's watch stands out with its midnight blue aventurine dial, recalling a night sky full of stars. This design feature echoes the "day & night" complication, allowing the wearer to track daytime and nighttime at a glance.

This complication has a feminine design, with a 22-karat rose gold disc successively displaying a sun and a moon surrounded by stars over its 24-hour rotation. The disc has polished satin-finish zones to create varying effects.

Elegance and femininity

Each feature of the "Cat's Eye Aventurine" has been designed to create a refined and feminine style. The watch has an oval-shaped rose gold case -- a signature of the collection -- and a bezel finished with 62 brilliant-cut diamonds. For an extra touch of elegance, the crown has been carved into a flower shape, and the hour and minute hands have a leaf-like form.

A midnight blue alligator leather strap, matching the shade of the dial, adds the finishing touch to the "Aventurine".

The "Cat's Eye Aventurine" watch uses a self-winding mechanical movement with 218 different components. It has hour and minute functions, as well as small seconds and a 46-hour power reserve.

Turning timepieces into works of art is nothing new for Girard-Perregaux.
