With a shared love of wine and a want of a "dreamy" wedding #MattClairWeds found the perfect destination in Peppers Creek Winery, New South Wales, Australia.

Before there was #MattClairWeds, fate kept Matthew Lim and Clairyn Chong apart from each other till the time was right.

Despite studying in Melbourne, Australia at the same time, the pair weren’t acquainted till they were back on home soil. 7-years of courting followed before Matthew himself manufactured the right time to propose.

A path of rose petals, balloons and personalised messages led Clairyn to Matthew’s proposal; the answer to the question couldn’t have been anything else.

So with the bar set high from the offset, Clairyn asked for a “dreamy” wedding; one that wasn’t common, and would be unforgettable for their friends and family.

Enter: Peppers Creek Winery, and as far as destination weddings go – you couldn’t dream up a more suitable place.

How does one pull off such a wedding? With a lot of zeal and preparation.

“Clairyn planned way ahead and had everything done and sorted three weeks prior to us flying off,” said Matthew. “She then had three weeks to pamper herself before the wedding.”

The location for Matthew and Clairyn’s wedding wasn’t picked out from nothing. The couple share a mutual appreciation for wine and with both of them having spent time in Australia: the pieces fell into place.

The 2-day ceremony included the traditional Chinese tea ceremony, the gate crashing game and an exchanging of vows, but amplified by the beautiful spring weather, the rustic setting and even a horse-drawn carriage.

A total of 75 attendees comprising close friends and family members, including Bryan Loo, Mah Kok Wah and Joon Ong flew in to join the happy couple on their momentous day.
