A blend of modernity with tradition is what Montblanc's latest timepiece is all about.

Incorporating cutting-edge technology with traditional Swiss watchmaking, Montblanc introduces the TimeWalker Urban Speed UTC e-Strap watch.

Its exploration in the latest wearable technology by including a watchstrap that can connect to a wearer’s smartphone is pure brilliance and it gives you instant access to everything your smartphone has.

On the front, you have the skeletonised horns and thin bezel with a 42mm stainless steel case reinforced with the use of a deep black surface treatment known as DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon).

Powered by the mechanical self-winding calibre MB 24.05, the TimeWalker also carries a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and its high quality finishing can be views through the transparent back casing.

The main selling point is the e-Strap; its elegant and sporty design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly resistant to water, abrasion and even high temperatures.

It’s housed in a stainless steel case curved to fit contour of the wearer’s wrist and has an added layer of moulded rubber to make it shock, dust and water resistant as well.

Some of the more ingenious features in the TimeWalker is the activity tracker that will count the numbers of steps you have taken per day, thus counting the calories that have been burned as well as distance covered.

Another amazing feature is the haptic feedback from the e-Strapalerts that will notify users of incoming notifications from various apps on your smartphone.

One last nifty feature from the e-Strap allows you to find your missing smartphone through the strap. It will send a signal over to your missing smartphone, making it play a melody, thus leading you to it.

This is not all Montblanc can do; see what they released recently during Watches and Wonders in Hong Kong.
