J. Crew

Some strong makeup looks were spotted on the catwalk this Autumn / Winter 2016 season.

New York is traditionally one of the most classic fashion weeks when it comes to runway beauty, but we've seen some strong makeup looks on the catwalk during the Autumn / Winter 2016 season.

Fenty x Puma

Rihanna stole the crown with her debut Fenty x Puma show, which featured models rocking Goth style with a twist. Lips were filled in with a rich black color for a dramatic pout that was contrasted with whited-out and slicked-back roots.

Altuzarra

Altuzarra chose to focus on the eyes with an abstract spiky liner running both under and over the lids, teamed with a rosy lip color for a fresh prettiness.

Tommy Hilfiger

It was all about the eyes at Tommy Hilfiger, too, where the lids were dusted with a bright gold glitter that added a fun festivity to the overall look.

Tadashi Shoji

Tadashi Shoji also utilised golden tones to create a heavily lidded smoky eye teamed with a bronzed base for a sultry look.

J.Crew

At J. Crew the look was cleaner and pulled together, featuring a deep pink lip that stood out against a luminescent base, with brows filled in and neatened up to keep the effect sleek.

Tory Burch

Tory Burch took a similar approach, opting for a neutral but opaque lip offset by bold brows and a low ponytail with a strict center parting.

Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham channelled the same vibe, opting for a matte base and using a dab of color at the inner corner of the models' eyes to open them up.

Alexander Wang

Meanwhile makeup was off the menu at Alexander Wang, where the models' faces looked freshly scrubbed, save for a hint of burnished golden shadow rubbed around the eye sockets. Brows were bleached and bangs cut high to emphasize the quirky look.
