Omega And Daniel Craig Reveal The Watch From The Upcoming James Bond Film, No Time To Die
Ahead of the April 2020 release of No Time To Die, the 25th film in the James Bond series, Omega recently revealed in New York the watch that will be worn by cinema's most enduring British spy, the Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition. Joining Omega CEO Raynald Aeschlimann at the reveal were star Daniel Craig and producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Brocolli.
Incidentally, the Seamaster has appeared on Bond's wrist in every single film since GoldenEye in 1995 - making the dive model the quintessential James Bond watch for an entire generation.
Daniel offered his input during its creation - he wanted it tough but lightweight, two key elements that a former military man like Bond would look for in his wristwatch, and he wanted it to have a vintage appearance.
For the lightweight without compromising on strength aspect, Omega introduced a Grade 2 titanium case and mesh bracelet. For the vintage vibe, the dial and bezel are crafted with aluminium in "tropical" brown with the markers, hands and diving scale coated in Superluminova.

The caseback is engraved with various Bond references - in numbers. There's "0552" which is the code for Navy personnel; "923 7697" is the number for a diver's watch. The number "62" refers to the year when the first Bond film, Dr. No, was released. And then, of course, there's "007". A naiad lock is employed during the engraving to ensure the numbers are in the correct alignment.
Beneath it beats the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806 that is resistant against magnetic interference. The watch also comes with a striped Nato strap with "007" engraved on the loop.
