Shu Uemura x Maison Kitsune

The result is an irresistible East-meets-West beauty collection with an unmistakable neo-classic interpretation of Shu Uemura’s art of beauty.

This holiday season, Shu Uemura is borrowing some fashion and music influences for its makeup collection with a foxy collaboration with Maison Kitsune.

Maison Kitsune, conceived in 2002 by Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Juroki following a trip to Japan, is a one-of-a-kind brand that unites fashion, music and design. Now, it is ready to translate its eclectic Parisian-Japanese influences into makeup with Shu Uemura by reinventing the ‘classics’ into a fun and youthful collection, just like the brand name – ‘kitsune’ means the sprightly ‘fox’ in Japanese.

The result is an irresistible East-meets-West beauty collection with unmistakable crossover appeal.

Eye and cheek palettes feature pastel shades made different with a smoky after-effect; eye pencils boast edgy colours meant for mixing and blending; and nail enamels come in 2 limited shades – a sophisti-festive indigo or plum, both shimmery and iridescent in nature.

Other items include brightly vivid lipglosses in shades that scream all things fun on the lips, a glow creator to boost the look of luminous and translucent skin as well as a hydrating lipbalm for both men and women. Special brush sets, cleansing oils, eyelash curlers and more make up the rest of the collection.

You can also choose to keep the entire collection in a fun white makeup box accessorised with Maison Kitsune’s exclusive pictogram design.

From Paris to Tokyo, from fashion and music to beauty, two top innovators from East and West have fused their worlds to create a neo-classic interpretation of Shu Uemura’s art of beauty. This collection is definitely something that will make any makeup lover's Christmas wishlist.
