The family-owned Swiss company is marking the milestone with two stellar timepieces that personify its unique watchmaking skill
Established in 1996, the Chopard manufacture in Fleurier has proven to be an invaluable asset in the company's pursuit of watchmaking excellence. Its first creation, calibre 1.96, delivered on the promise with a groundbreaking twin technology that granted the movement a superlative power reserve of 65 hours.
In the next 25 years, Chopard continuously surpassed expectations, even winning the Aiguille dOr prize at Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) in 2017 with its innovative solution for sapphire crystal gongs for its minute repeater. That it was Chopard's first ever minute repeater made the accomplishment even more impressive. Clearly, when Chopard does something new, it does it with a lot of flair.

This year, it is showing off the same quality with two new two limited edition watches created to celebrate the manufacture's 25-year milestone.
L.U.C QF Jubilee
I think the inspiration is an authentic L.U.C wristwatch in our museum dating back to the 1950s. And I've always wanted a stainless steel watch in the Qualité Fleurier collection, a quality certification that we initiated and which has helped us a lot in our innovations.
- Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, co-president of Chopard
This stainless steel L.U.C watch is a marvel in simplicity. Limited to 25 pieces, it updates the classic L.U.C sector-type dial with its small seconds counter at 6 o'clock with a silvered sunburst centre and a chapter ring in Chopard blue. The Chevron hour markers are paired with spear-shaped hands, both decidedly modern and distinguished.

Housing it is a 39mm case in steel, which makes it the first steel L.U.C to be certified by Fleurier Quality Foundation that requires the watch to be manufactured entirely in Switzerland with high standards of reliability and finishing. The L.U.C 96.09-L movement also received the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute certification for excellent time-keeping precision.
A brown calfskin strap with blue lining completes this stylish classic.
