The mysterious underwater world surfaced through the craft and words of venerated jewellery artisan Stephen Webster, as he combines intricate pendants with literature. Introduced on our shores by Habib Jewels, the collection features the design of each 26 figurative charms woven with witty and humourous personas of sea creatures such as the enigmatic sting ray and the wise whale.

A book written by Stephen Webster himself narrates each alphabet presented in the collection with marine life as its talisman like “A is for Angelfish” and “O is for Octopus”. In doing so, the jeweler encourages all to discover the yellow gold charm that resonates with themselves, with ‘Fish Tales’ inspired by his own fascination of the open ocean.

Among his muses, Jules Verne’s sci-fi novel, '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea’ anchors the theme of independence found in the diamond-studded alphabets intertwined with a free-swimming aquatic animal upon the gold chain. This admiration for classic fiction only seemed natural for the British jewellery designer to also pen his stories, steeped in imagination and experience.

What's notable is the limitless and inventive design of each pendant, such as the “H is for Hammerhead Shark” neacklace boasting a 3D image of the animal as its dorsal fin rested on the alphabet.

With a larger story accompanying the collection, ‘Fish Tales’ jewellery and the book is a thoughtful gift for the sea explorer and the aquatic wanderer looking to express themselves with an elegant and creative symbol.
