You know artisanal trends have become widely accepted when people recognise it for what it’s worth. In fact, it was a little street style cred Yasmine Patpatia received in the heart of London, for her handbag purchased in India, that prompted her to start Hux The Label. The online store is a curation of her eclectic taste for handmade, small-batch goods from independent artisans sourced around the world, but beyond that, highlights her eco-conscious stance. A self-professed “mismatched and happily off-trend’ fashionista, Yasmine’s quintessential style is summed up with her love for kaftans and its boho-chic statement. We profile her fashion philosophy, wardrobe essentials, and tips for rocking the loose and luxurious trend.

How does Hux The Label represent your personal style?

"I wanted HUX to produce beautiful, unique accessories. I don’t like to look like everyone else so I wanted the products to be limited in quantity too. Also, to be affordable as a designer brand."

Why is the kaftan your choice of attire?

"I wear kaftans every day. I would do EVERYTHING in a kaftan if I could. It’s so comfy and versatile. I love clothing that can be styled in many different ways. It is the perfect day-to-night outfit because it really is the most versatile and interchangeable of all the wardrobe pieces."

Kaftan by night

"All you need to add for the evening is a hair tie and a necklace. For necklaces, I love to go for something very ‘out there’, which speaks for itself. Bold, bold and more bold."
