Is the midriff the new erogenous zone? Fashion designers definitely think it is for the summer months—enter: flossing, the hottest SS21 trend you need to know

Feeling adventurous this summer? Here's one of spring/summer 2021's most daring trends for you: the midriff floss. Inspired by dental floss (hence its name), the trend caught the imaginations of designers such as Christopher Esber, Michael Kors and Jacquemus. Criss-crossing its way across the midriff, the trend manifests itself on streamlined tops, or on its close cousin, the bralette, for a more visually appealing proposition.

At Michael Kors and Vejas, for example, the bralette was dressed up with woven leather straps, in the case of the former, and elasticised ruched velvet straps, in the latter. Two SS21 trends in one? Score!

Over at Christopher Esber and Paco Rabanne, the designers worked the floss into structured tops that turned them from regular wardrobe staples to the perfect going-out top this summer.

Get inspired by the bold trend you're sure to cross paths with this season.
