For spring-summer 2021, designer Virginie Viard celebrates lively styles and silhouettes with neon jeans, flowing dresses, tweed suits, and sequins
Held at Grand Palais in Paris, the Chanel spring-summer 2021 ready-to-wear collection evoked cinematic allure by celebrating actresses who have a relationship, both on and off-screen, with the House. Evoking the famed Hollywood sign, the Chanel name appeared in illuminated giant letters, serving as a spectacular backdrop for the models sashaying down the pristine white runway.
“This collection is a tribute to the muses of the House. Gabrielle Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld dressed so many actresses in films and in real life. I was thinking about them who make us dream so much. But without wanting to replicate. Without falling into a vintage citation. I wanted it to be very joyful, colourful, and very vibrant too," explained designer Virginie Viard.
