JIMMY CHOO LAUNCHES ITS HIGH SUMMER 2021 COLLECTION

Summer isn't cancelled—and neither is summer style. Jimmy Choo is bringing the idyllic glamour of Miami to the world with its latest High Summer 2021 collection. Featuring an array of sculptural heels, languid sandals and bold, summery bags, it is an ode to the unique visual aesthetic of the beachside city.

“High summer to me is about sun, sea and blue sky—an escape, to have fun and not be weighed down. I wanted to drown myself with heat, be uplifted by colours and a sense of freedom, which naturally led me to Miami,” said Sandra Choi, creative director of Jimmy Choo. “Unlike anywhere else in the world, it’s an incredibly exciting city with a dose of sophistication and a vibrant art deco scene. We were thinking about fusing all of those ideas through unexpected finishes, a sensuality in shape, from day through to evening, and warmth in colour. This collection is about pleasure and enjoyment, feeling the heat and being sun kissed.”

LOUIS VUITTON COLLABORATES WITH NBA

Taking sportswear to the next level, Louis Vuitton's latest capsule collection is not one to be missed by basketball fans. In its second collaboration with the NBA, the collection pays tribute to the basketball mania of the ’90s, translated into shirts and shorts that take their graphic cues from the colourful basketball jerseys—what's more, font variations on the ready-to-wear pieces reference the typeface of an NBA team—leather bags that boast a grain reminiscent of a basketball, and jewellery that was inspired by those worn by basketball players in the ’90s.

For the first time ever, hardcore fans will also be able to buy Louis Vuitton’s first-ever basketballs in a 29.5” life-size version, made in partnership with official game ball supplier Wilson Sporting Goods Co. Needless to say, these are limited edition and highly collectible.
