Tengku Sri Temenggung Raja Kolenel Dato' Seri Tengku Baharuddin Mahmud Shah and To' Puan Seri Nabilah Khan Mahmud Khan recently tied the knot in a resplendent ceremony at the St Regis KL, surrounded by their closest and dearest.

Purple and white were the colours of the evening, with the ballroom being bathed in a lambent purple glow while the main table saw white flowers and candles adding a modern touch to the overall ambience.

Instead of a red carpet, a yellow carpet was rolled out for the royal couple.

The couple of the hour made their entrance preceded by a bagpipe ensemble with the bride looking a vision of elegance in a Jovian Mandagie dress before a military salute accompanied them as they marched forward.

While the wedding was traditionally Malay, the food for the night was a modern Western selection, complemented by intimate photos from the akad nikah ceremony played on loop for all to relive the memories.

The highlight of the wedding was when prayers were said for the couple for a long, blissful and love-filled marriage followed by speeches from a handful of the couple’s family members.

Tears of joy were wept for the beautiful union and even more love filled the air of the joyous occasion.
