Valentino Camubutterfly spring 2015 collection

We’re not talking about a butterfly or two -– Valentino is cramping as many butterflies onto a single surface area, producing a stunning camo-effect style with the pieces.

Butterflies have carved a name for themselves as pretty, feminine motifs more likely found on women’s dresses and handbags than men’s jackets and shoes.

Valentino is blowing that stereotype out of its cocoon and making butterflies the last thing you’ll associate it with – manliness.

For its spring 2015 Camubutterfly menswear collection, the colourful winged insects are the stars, embroidered onto jackets, printed onto trousers and adorning a long list of accessories from shoes, washbags, pouches, backpacks and more.

We’re not talking about just the single butterfly or two – Valentino is cramping as many butterflies as it can onto a single surface area, producing a stunning camo-effect style with the pieces.

Butterflies of all shapes, sizes and colours come together in a surprisingly muted blend that is attention-catching without looking garish.
