Fun fact: Sogo Kuala Lumpur, one of the country’s largest and most iconic department stores located on Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman was originally built by SOGO Co. Ltd in Japan. Today, it is wholly Malaysian-owned, famous for bringing the best of Japan to Malaysia.

A seven-floor shopping haven catering to customers from all walks of life, it’s the place to shop for affordable essentials to luxury goods all under one roof.

There’s a supermarket, a beauty department, children’s and home sections, womenswear and menswear and a treasure trove of food and beverage outlets known as Foodgarden.

Having undergone various facelifts over the years, the department complex is not without its share of fun attractions to wow shoppers, from a 30-foot waterfall at the 6th floor to a complete health and wellness centre, a children’s play area, two VIP customer lounges and more. Then, there are the unforgettable warehouse clearance sales at Sogo KL that regularly take place at the spacious 7th floor Event Hall.

While Sogo KL shoppers can expect value-added services like home delivery, porter, click and connect, personal shopper features and other perks, this bustling department store also prides itself in a unique connection to its surrounding community along Jalan TAR, once known as Batu Road.

Besides that, Sogo Malaysia participates in a number of charity initiatives every year, recently launching a line of charity tote bags to raise funds for the underprivileged via the TOUCH Sogo Foundation.
