Zahara

The polish's breathable formula made from no alcohol or animal by-products allows water and oxygen to pass through so your nails are nourished and wudhu-friendly.

Gel nails are great and all for long-lasting colour and style but at what cost? It starves your nails of oxygen, which is what is giving you that horrid yellow tinge after removal.

In comes Zahara to give your nails a breath of fresh air – literally.

The cosmetics brand founded by none other than the enterprising society sweetheart Amira Geneid is the latest in the market to formulate and craft nail and makeup products for Muslim women.  As such, its current star product following its fresh launch just this month, is its range of wudhu-friendly nail polish.

Dubbed the oxygen nail polish by the brand, its breathable formula made from no alcohol or animal by-products allows water and oxygen to reach your nails so nails are continually well-nourished. More importantly, this makes it acceptable for the wearer to perform their wudhu (the washing ritual before prayers) with them on.

As breathable as they are, there is no compromise on quality either. The fun vibrant colours are just as lustrous, long-lasting and 100% halal-certified.

Aside from just nail products, lipsticks, eyeliners and other makeup products are currently underway so do keep an eye out for this new makeup brand made for the Muslim woman in mind.

Launching this month, Zahara nail polish will be available online at www.zahara.com as well as at selected salons throughout Singapore and Malaysia.
