The El Primero marks its 50th anniversary this year and to celebrate the engineering brilliance of the high performance chronograph equipped with a monolithic oscillator, it is treating watch connoisseurs in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore to special editions designed in the flag colours of the respective countries. The watch comes with an openworked dial displaying the the power reserve at 12 o'clock, a minute counter at 3 o'clock and a seconds counter at 6 o'clock; red and white accents adorn all three versions.
The most obvious differentiation is in the strap. The Malaysia edition (limited to 10 pieces) comes with a combination of yellow rubber and blue alligator strap. Singapore's strap is a combination of red rubber and white leather while Indonesia's is in white rubber and red leather. The sapphire caseback is emblazoned with the iconic architecture of the respective countries - Petronas Twin Towers, Marina Bay Sands and Borobudur temple.
