(AFP Relaxnews) - The start of 2014 will be an exciting time for perfume lovers, and particularly for fans of the floral essences that always herald the arrival of spring. We take a look at some of the fragrances slated to arrive in stores over the coming months.

La Tentation de Nina by Nina Ricci

In an unprecedented partnership with the famous French pastry maker Ladurée, the perfume maker has presented a fragrance inspired by the brand's signature macarons. Developed by the nose Olivier Cresp together with Ladurée's head pastry chef Vincent Lemains, La Tentation de Nina combines Italian bergamot and grapefruit with Bourbon vanilla, white musk and sandalwood, complemented by a macaron accord, characterized by raspberry, almond, lemon and Bulgarian rose absolute notes. The new eau de toilette will be available worldwide from February 1. Price: €58 (around USD80/RM260) for 50ml.

Bright Crystal Absolu by Versace

The Italian design house is preparing to launch a new variation on one of its most iconic fragrances, Bright Crystal, in a more intense version. Developed by the nose Alberto Morillas, this essence stands out for its yuzu and pomegranate notes, complemented with raspberry and mahogany extracts. Already available in Italy, the new eau de parfum will go on sale abroad in February. Price: €75.50 (around USD103/RM340) for 50ml.

Jour de Fête by L'Artisan Parfumeur
This year, the French perfume maker's traditional spring limited edition fragrance will have a distinctly festive aroma. The brand will reissue its iconic Jour de Fête eau de toilette, inspired by the subtle notes of Jordan almonds, or "dragées," traditionally given to guests at weddings and other family celebrations in France. Almond and vanilla scents are blended with iris and wheat notes for a festive and very feminine perfume. The Jour de Fête eau de toilette will go on sale in a limited edition from March. Price: €70 (around USD96/RM320) for 100ml.
Sex, Fun and Love by Desigual

For its very first fragrance collection, the Spanish apparel brand is presenting three essences in flacons as colorful and offbeat as its clothing lines. The new fragrances were developed by three different noses: Daphne Bugey for "Sex" (tuberose, soy, red fruits, rhubarb), Christophe Raynaud for "Fun" (passion fruit, cranberry, pear, white peach), and Fabrice Pellegrin for "Love" (praline, cranberry, blackcurrant, grapefruit). Sex, Fun and Love will be available in Desigual stores from February. The brand has yet to announce pricing information.
