Lancome Absolue Arthus-Bertrand gold case

All in gold, with cutwork allowing light to shine through, this exclusive case is something of a nod to Lancôme's "Golden Glow".

French beauty brand Lancôme is celebrating half a century of its Absolue skincare line.

To mark the anniversary, Lancôme is collaborating with French engraver and jewellery maker Arthus-Bertrand, to craft a special edition packaging for its cult favourite Absolue L'Extrait.

This isn't the first time the Absolue L'Extrait is being repackaged, with Maison Baccarat having given it a crystal jar home prior, but it certainly is the first time it is being dressed almost completely in elegant gold.

It was 1965 when Lancôme introduced the first Absolue skin cream -- a product formulated to fight the signs of aging, nourish the skin and rejuvenate it to reveal its underlying "Golden Glow."

Fifty years later, Lancôme called upon Arthus-Bertrand to create an exceptional case for Absolu L'Extrait, produced in a limited edition of just 500 units worldwide. All in gold, with cutwork allowing light to shine through, this exclusive case is something of a nod to Lancôme's "Golden Glow".

On top of that, the French brand has also presented the latest item in the Absolue range, Absolue Precious Oil Nourishing Luminous Oil, which is made with rose essential oil and 7 other essential oils and plant oils. The new product is formulated to moisturise the skin and to protect it from exterior stressors by repairing its outer defense barriers.

L'Absolue Precious Oil Nutrition Lumière will go on sale from February 2 for €169 (around RM720). Price is available on request for the Arthus-Bertrand Limited Edition of Absolue L'Extrait.
