As one of the top contenders of NYFW, every known fashionista and media literati braved the snowstorm and crossed the East River, all in order to see his latest creations.

A streaker at Prabal Gurung

Fashion weeks have always been known for its runway crashers in the form of animal rights protesters and plain ol' random attention seekers. This season, it happened at Prabal Gurung’s show. The male streaker wore a raincoat, gold crown, red socks and leopard print thong and ran alongside the models, bringing giggles and laughter among the guests. Rest assured the show went on without a glitch and the streaker got his 15 second of fame. So all is well in the fashion capital.

Jason Wu’s inaugural collection for Hugo Boss
Inaugurations are not strange affairs for designer Jason Wu, what with his repertoire of dressing US First Lady Michelle Obama for the presidential inauguration ceremony. This season, Wu debuted his first BOSS womenswear collection as the newly appointed artistic director; the show saw many celebrities and fashion insiders who came in support of Wu including Benedict Cumberbatch, Reese Witherspoon, Anna Dello Russo and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Donna Karan’s 30th anniversary fashion show

It was a rather steamy and grand affair at Donna Karan’s anniversary show, celebrating 30 years of amazing fashion with supermodels like Karolina Kurkova, Karlie Kloss and Hilary Rhoda storming down the runway in sheer gowns with thigh high slit swirling in all its glory down at the Wall Street show venue. Major stars like Hugh Jackman, Rita Ora and Katie Holmes graced the front row in support of the New York designer.

Manolo Blahnik debuts his fall/winter collection in NYFW

Star Wars makes an appearance in Rodarte

Rodarte is known for its take in surrealism and fantasy but this season saw a turn of events with the designer duo diving right into a Star Wars film with a number of dresses featuring a giant Luke Skywalker and R2-D2 print. While it might seem over the top and silly, it definitely made the designers stand out in social media and it's the perfect geek chic moment for all Star Wars fans to look fabulous on the red carpet.
