Fendi Fall/Winter 2014 campaign by Karl Lagerfeld

For the fall/winter season, Fendi proves that there is more than just fur in its collection with sporty chic pieces that break the boundaries of climate and seasons.

In the fall/winter 2014 shows, one of the most buzzed topics was the mini ‘Karl’ fur keychain that opened the Fendi show with Cara Delevingne.

While that alone makes an amazing feature for the show, the actual fall/winter collection was also something to get excited about, especially when it is created under the creative supervision of Karl Lagerfeld.

As per every season, you have to hand the trophy to Karl Lagerfeld and Fendi for bringing fur to its utmost potential. This collection features the furry detail in the most unexpected places from full-blown fur hoodies and collars to tufts of fur popping out on dresses and jackets.

While it is primarily a fall/winter collection, nothing is stopping fashionistas from wearing the pieces in a warmer climate. Take off the layers of furry outerwear and you will find dresses, tops and skirts that can transcend the four seasons and be worn at any time, day and temperature.

An unexpected touch was also added to the collection in the form of fresh orchids, something that most would have expected to see in the spring collections.

On the collection, Karl Lagerfeld says, "Clothes for a sophisticated daily life. A mix of elegant city looks and sportswear in new and unexpected materials. I love the idea of fragile fresh flowers pinned on the fur -- romantic, sensuous and modern."
