On June 27, we revealed the 30 Malaysia honourees on the Gen.T List 2019 at an unveiling event at W Kuala Lumpur.
The evening began with a private dinner for the 2019 honourees and Tatler Tribe members—a panel of industry heavyweights Gen.T consults to aid in the selection of the list. Tribe members at the dinner included Malaysia's first astrophysicist, Datuk Mazlan Othman; Azran Osman Rani, founder and CEO of med-tech startup Naluri; and Lee Jim Leng, group managing director and CEO of Hong Leong Investment Bank.
Tamara Lamunière, head of Generation T Asia, introduced the inaugural Gen.T Asia Summit, a leadership festival powered by Generation T that's taking place in Hong Kong this November. Hartini Zainudin, a Tatler Tribe member and founder of Yayasan Chow Kit, spoke of the upcoming CSR partnership with Gen.T, which will include an activation event to harness the power of our community to positively change children's lives.
Previous Gen.T honourees and the wider community joined for the afterparty. Popular Malaysian singer-songwriter Shila Amzah, a 2019 honouree, gave a guest performance as the Gen.T List was revealed for the first time.
