Every year Malaysia Tatler celebrates outstanding individuals in society with an awards ceremony at our annual ball.
Made up of five categories, we recognise these admirable winners who have in one way or another made their mark in society.
Couple of the Year: Dato' James Greaves and Tunku Datin Myra
Entrepreneur Dato' James Greaves and Tunku Datin Myra are a power couple in every sense of the word. He is a successful entrepeneur while she comes from royal bloodline and runs her own events management company as well as her own line of luxury resort and beachwear called J&M.
They joke, laugh and compliment one another, all on top of being parents to two young kids. Through thick and thin, they have always been there for one another.
As a great couple to emulate, Malaysia Tatler is proud to award Dato' James Greaves and Tunku Datin Myra with this year's Couple of the Year award.
Force For Good: Ganesh Muren
The man behind Saora Industries and our January cover star, Ganesh Muren is on a mission to help the underprivileged gain access to one of the most important qualities needed to sustain life – water.
An engineer by trade, Muren has created two water filtration systems that are easy-to-use and cost effective, with a goal to help provide villagers in rural Malaysia with a clean and sustainable supply of drinking water.
Because of his efforts, he has also been selected as one of the key members of Transformasi Nasional 2050 involved in the technology sector.
Because of his valiant efforts to help those in need of it, we are proud to present this year's Force For Good award to him.
Woman on the Rise: Nadia Nasimuddin
The youngest daughter of Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin and Puan Sri Zaleha Ismail, Nadia stepped into the limelight during her late 20s to continue her father’s legacy.
This multi-talented ambitious lady wears many hats: a wife and mother, a fashionista, our November cover star, a director of the Naza Group of Companies and a restaurateur.
Besides overseeing the family's business F&B arm, she is also the brains behind Portluxe, an online platform for buying and selling authentic pre-owned branded items.
She juggles all her responsibilities with aplomb and as an individual that continues to be on the up and up, making her our 2017 Woman on the Rise.
