Millennial It Girl Kaia Gerber Is The Perfect Muse For Omega’s Tresor Collection
The first time Tresor appeared in Omega’s canon, it was back in 1949 when the name was used to refer to a legendary 30mm calibre housed in a slim gold case. Tresor, which means treasure in French, then made a return in 2014 as De Ville Tresor, this time the “treasure” being the proprietary Co-Axial movement. The new Tresor boasts a high precision 4061 quartz calibre.
Gerber's mother is none other than supermodel and Omega ambassador Cindy Crawford. While isn’t exactly a modeling novice – Gerber has been at it since 10 and signed to IMG Models at 13 – she made her major runway debut last year at New York Fashion Week, walking for the likes of Calvin Klein, Coach and Alexander Wang.

2/5Go high and low
Tresor matches a pave diamond bezel, gently curved for distinction, with a fabric strap for a look that is both luxe and casual. A piece of diamond is also set on the crown. Understated and playful, it’s a wrist companion that takes you from a business meeting to lunch with the girls to an evening cocktail soiree without missing a beat.
Like most real style icons, Gerber plays by her own rules – which is no rule. Looking chic in either a Saint Laurent’s avant-garde mini dress or jeans and T-shirt, she goes from high fashion to high street, and back again, with enviable supermodel ease.
From Kaia Gerber to Zoë Kravitz, here are the 10 faces you will see on major fashion campaigns this 2018
A veritable workhorse
The slim 36mm or 39mm case houses the Omega 4061 calibre, a super accurate quartz movement with a battery life of four years.
Gerber is no slack either. Since her runway debut in New York, she flew across the pond to conquer Europe, walking for Miu Miu, Valentino, Saint Laurent, Fendi and even opening for Chanel. In fact, Karl Lagerfeld was so impressed by her that he invited her to design a capsule collection for his eponymous label and then made her the face of the new Chanel ad campaign for handbags.
Looks with charm to spare
The devil is in the details. From the beautifully polished steel or 18k Sedna gold case with curved diamond bezel and the diamond-studded crown in red liquid ceramic to the slender Roman numerals and special mirrored caseback with “Her Time” design, the Tresor also enchants with different coloured dials including opaline silver, black, taupe brown, mother-of-pearl or blue.
With her big brown eyes, luscious locks and model-esque features that recall Crawford’s famous profile, top designers and photographers are waxing lyrical over Gerber. Pierpaolo Piccioli of Valentino believed that she “represents a new generation of freshness and glamour.” Donatella Versace hailed her as “stunningly beautiful”. Meanwhile, Stuart Vevers of Coach thought she was charming and authentic, “the ultimate cool all-American girl,” he said. Renowned fashion lensman Peter Lindbergh obviously loved her, having shot her numerous times including for the Tresor ad campaign.
5/5Young and exciting
Being a watch collection targeted at young women, Gerber certainly has the clout to push Tresor to this audience in terms of social media followers – 3.3mil on Instagram and over 74,000 on Twitter. At the height of the Spring/ Summer fashion weeks in September to October last year, she was even trending higher than her more established peers Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner, who incidentally photographed her for Love magazine.
