Afternoon tea at Mandarin Oriental KL is always enjoyable, and when it collaborates with a fashion brand, you can be certain that the fun-factor is raised a few notches higher.

From Anya Hindmarch’s playful set to Roger Vivier and Chopard’s chic servings, these tea sessions are really made to meet our social media needs. They are of course absolutely delicious, to say the least, but MOKL rightly pays attention to visual and we love it!

Lounge on the Park once again ups the high-tea game by presenting a Kate Spade-inspired afternoon tea until November 19. This time around, the hotel’s executive pastry chef Anthony Hoyle gives us a sweet interpretation of Kate Spade’s fall 2017 collection, underlined by red poppies, dark cherries and leopard prints.

The fall collection itself pays tribute to the spirit and allure of legendary heroines from the 20s who were never afraid to blaze a trail, in the likes of flapper icons Louise Brookes and Josephine Baker, and le coquelicot (“poppy” in French), a mysterious and bold local beauty painted by Kees Van Dongen.

As you savour the delicious poppy red velvet cake, black forest Swiss roll, blue swimmer crab meat, truffle mayonnaise and red & yellow capsicum confit, scones and other delights; remember all the bold and brave ladies who challenged the social norms of their day to make world what it is today.
