Atelier Versace Fall/Winter 2014

Versace features an exclusive short film showcasing chief designer Donatella working on the recent Atelier Versace Fall/Winter 2014 collection.

Finding muses in personalities like Madonna, Lady Gaga, and Jennifer Lopez, chief designer Donatella Versace wowed us with her amazing aesthetics in the Atelier Versace Fall/Winter 2014 haute couture collection.

Now, the famed Italian fashion house has released a short film to showcase what goes behind the scenes in an Atelier Versace show. From creation, model casting to the decor and final runway walk, it sums up the entire process in an impactful 50-second video (see above), filmed by Rahi Rezvani.

For this particular collection, Donatella revisited her past decade of works in the Atelier Versace, where she had made a number of iconic pieces that made headlines globally including the famous navel-baring tropical print dress worn by Jennifer Lopez in year 2000, which was even showcased in Malaysia recently.

In this collection, the biggest influence noted were from the 50s but in Donatella Versace's point of view. Instead of the usual demure silhouettes and cuts, Donatella created a bolder and sexier vision featuring cutouts and high slits that showcased her advancement in skills and vision throughout the years.
